Mercer Culinary M24106PL 6" Deba (Utility) Knife

I have had this knife for about 1 year and it is awesome. It's my go to meat and fish knife. Hold edge for a very long time. Sharpens super easy. But do as it says hand wash and dry immediately after washing.

Nice price compare to quality. Good strong steel that can cut fish bone without any problem. it's pretty small that I hope there is a bigger size. Plastic handle look good and feel good also when handle it even it's plastic.

Used the Mercer M24106 6" Deba (Utility) Knife to cut a jalapeno. It seems the knife is so small but it really packs a heavy punch. The blade is so sharp and it makes cutting jalapenos easy.

This has become my favorite knife in the kitchen. I was kind of thrown by the handle, it seemed a little odd. But it supplied a firm grip and it isn't pain on the wrists when cutting through larger cuts of meat. Smaller than what I expected but all in all a good knife.

Beautiful knife. I would recommend order a knife guard with this knife if you are using a knife roll. I would also suggest that if you are not familiar with sharpening this type of knife, to get it sharpened professionally.

The grind on this knife is not what a Deba grind is supposed to be. The back is flat instead of hollow ground and the 'single bevel' is cosmetic only, they simply ground a Western style bevel onto a Deba-shaped blank. It's misleading at best to call this a Deba.

This 6" deba knife from Mercer Culinary is a great knife. it feels very balanced and secure in the hand, and the blade is sharp out of the box. A great knife for the price!

Even though this is a rather small knife, it does wonders in my kitchen. I was surprised how easy it is to handle this knife and how easily it cuts anything without difficulty. I will be buying another one in the near future.

I don't use this knife all that much. I thought I'd use it more, but it's pretty small and the blade is thick so it doesn't come in handy for me all that much. But, it has a sharp blade that holds a sharp edge decently. I like the handle, because wearing gloves and rolling sushi makes for slippery handles. These are rubbery and have a sturdy grip.

This is a great utility knife when making sushi. It cuts beautifully. I would recommend this knife for anyone planning on making sushi. It is the best.

Nice small and durable knife for cutting small pieces of just about anything. The blade is thick and very sharp and the small size is perfect for maneuvering and cutting small portions.

Mercer knives are made to please,this little knife has become a favorite in my kitchen,but I should order another because every time I look for it my wife has it in her hand.
