Waring WDF1000 10 lb. Commercial Countertop Deep Fryer - 120V

I like that it comes with three baskets and a lid and that it goes up to 390 degrees. That said, the construction is a little flimsy. I wish the base was one piece and that it didn't have so much stuff made of plastic.

Great little fryer! This is what we started our cafe with - we've used it for about a year now with no issues. Love the timer feature and appreciate the cover and nice weighted fry baskets. It heats up relatively quickly and changing out the oil isn't hard to do. The timer / temp area is a little hard to clean if you don't stay on top of it. We finally had to retire this due to increasing demand, but we still have it around as a backup!

I purchased this fryer a couple years ago and only used it ~5 times. Recently it just stopped working. I tried resetting, different plugs, contacting the manufacturer, no luck. This is an expensive item to die after so few uses. Very disappointed.

Not a good fryer. this was way overpriced when you compare it to avantco fryer. it did not keep up at all and we ended up sending it back.

This fryer is a good little unit. It does a nice job for small jobs. I would have given it more stars if it would have lasted longer. We used it probably no more than a dozen times before it failed. It overheated the plug severely, the same plug we used every time, and is no longer working. We honestly tried to find warranty information and couldn't get a response from Waring. So, it's been sitting and gathering dust. It'll probably go in the trash soon. It hurts every time I look at it and remember how much we paid for it.

I have owned this for a few years now and I have to say it's the best! I have owned several deep fryers over the years but none maintain heat very well after you drop the food in. This fryer is able to keep up with the heat. It has a very large capacity and easy cleanup!

Waring 10lb Deep Fryer was exactly what we were looking for. The basket is large and fits a large amount of food. It is solid, easy to use, easy to clean.

Great little portable fryer. Very easy to clean as everything comes appart pretty much. Heats up fairly fast and doesn't look to "ugly" when placed on a food station

We have been using the coutertop fryer in our restaurant for almost a year and it works better than I expected. We originally planned to use it just for frying garnishes so I was not concerned about the amount of power but lately we have been frying pita bread for pita chips and making homemade chicken "tenders" for the occasional kid dishes and this fryer works pretty quickly. None of these are frozen products, however, and I suspect that this fryer would have a hard time recovering the temperature If you throw frozen product in it. The small screw that holds the large basket on the handle broke after just a few months but we replaced it with a screw and nuts from a local retailer so no big deal.

This is a great little fryer to take out on location for a catering gig. Holds a temperature well and is easy to clean up.

I love to use this countertop fryer when I dont have a huge batch of doughnuts to fry. It's especially useful for frying small batches of things, like two dozen doughnut holes.

I was asked to cater Chinese for a graduation party and used the party as an excuse to load up on new toys, including this fryer. I oopsed and ordered the 8.5 lb fryer first, with the 208 v plug (which was quickly fixed, thanks to the helpful customer service) and then ordered the 10 lb fryer. It arrived within 3 days, and I had it out of the box, filled with oil, and frying chicken nuggets within the first 20 minutes of it arriving. SO excited with how well it worked, the chicken went in frozen and came out hot, crispy and perfect. I will definitely be looking for any excuse to use the fryer from now on! I fear funnel cakes will be my household's downfall.

Commercial and fryer should not be used in the same sentence with this item. This fryer overall is built very light. But the baskets are impressive and well built. I checked the temperature for accuracy against my digital thermometer and here are the results. Set control for 370, the green light came on right at 370. Then I set control for 390 which is the highest setting. When set at 390, the green light came on at 384. After the green light came on at 384, I waited to see how hot the oil would get, and it topped out at 387 max, plenty hot enough to deep fry with. We have a large family so we were in desperate need of a large capacity deep fryer. The Waring WDF1000 is perfect. We started using it the very next day and we use it at least 2 times a week. It's wonderful for fries, fried okra, corn dogs, and anything you want to fry. The two smaller baskets are wonderful for frying two separate items at once and the larger basket is perfect for fries for the whole family in less than 10 minutes. Clean up is very easy.

I was a little disappointed at first. It's made in China, the two small baskets were a little smaller than I expected and the whole unit is lighter than I expected. But after using it for several batches of fries and a batch of breaded frozen catfish, I've come to like it a lot. The temp control makes double-frying french fries an easy task. Bring temp to 330, drop fries for 3 minutes, raise baskets and bring temp to 370 and drop fries for 4 minutes and you're done. Recovery time is decent except when using frozen foods. Might want to use a higher temp in the case of frozen items. Loading the two small baskets to the max line will easily give you enough fries for four people or more. Nice, simple countertop fryer. Heats up and cools down quickly, cleans easily.

Excellent fryer. It is fast, easy to clean and built to last. It makes delicious french fries and its large capacity allows you to make fries for a large group. I lovr it.
