There is no substitute for a good wok when you need to saute and serve in large quantities, and this carbon steel mandarin wok is the perfect solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars
"Love the wok. It is huge!!! It looks so much better after seasoned. It's a bit on a heavy side. The wok heats up quickly even on a stove top. I use it for stir fry and fried rice and so far it works great. Definitely recommend for home use or restaurant."
If you haven’t invested in a wok yet, you are missing out on a useful tool that allows you to stew, steam, boil, deep fry, and stir fry. Mandarin woks like this one come with a durable long handle that make tossing any stir fry easy and safe. The cold steel forged construction means that you will never have to worry about the integrity of this wok degrading. Your restaurant will be able to use this wok for years to come.
Carbon Steel Construction
Designed to be rugged and practically indestructible, this wok is made from cold-forged carbon steel, giving it the superior durability to stand up to hard use in a commercial kitchen. This material also provides fast, even heating so that you can achieve predictable and consistent results. Hand hammering leads to stronger steel but by nature, will be not be ideal for induction ranges.
No Chamber Needed
Unlike round bottomed woks, these flat bottomed woks do not require a wok ring or chamber.
Strong, 8 1/2" Riveted Handle
The 8 1/2" handle provides ample room to grip and move the wok as you toss ingredients on the inside. Its riveted-on construction ensures a very rigid connection between handle and vessel, guaranteeing longevity in your commercial kitchen.
Questions & Answers
Looking For Specific Info? Get quick answers to product questions with our AI-powered search.
How is the top diameter measured in frying pans and woks, and how accurate is this measurement?
The top diameter is the measurement across the pan, from the interior of one side of the rim to the other. These measurements are approximate because many frying pans and woks have a curved upper rim, making precise measurement difficult. The standard naming convention uses top diameter, so while multiple brands may offer a 10" pan, there may be slight variations in size between each brand's 10" pan or wok.
My item arrived with a thin layer of oil. What is the purpose of this oil, and is the item ready for immediate use?
Some carbon steel pans and woks are shipped with a protective oil coating to prevent rusting before their first use. They should be thoroughly washed with warm, soapy water to remove the oil and then properly seasoned before use.
What is the appropriate lid size for my wok?
While lid size can be a preference based on what you're cooking, you generally want your lid to be approximately 1" - 2" smaller in diameter than your wok. This is so the lid can securely sit inside the rounded edges of your wok.
What is the difference between a Mandarin wok and a Cantonese wok?
The difference is in the style of the handle. Mandarin woks feature a long stick handle, while Cantonese woks have two small loop handles, giving cooks a choice of whichever best fits their style.
What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.
For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. Both are long lasting solutions for fry and sauce pan handles because they are durable and can withstand heat.

After over six months of constant use of this product, I couldn’t be happier with it—and it only gets better with time. The initial seasoning process didn’t take much time, and I noticed a visible patina form after each use. I love how the wooden handle is removable in case I want to season it in the oven once in a while. The nonstick properties are unbeatable, and the carbon steel conducts heat faster than any other material I’ve used. Worth the money easily!

The handle to this wok arrived loose. It feels like it will break off in short order. The Webstaurantstore.com was very responsive and immediately took care of my issue, however, the replacement wok they sent me had the exact same problem. The wooden handle is not fastened into the wok securely and will certainly break off soon. Due to the cheap price, I'm going to just try to fix it myself, but I do not recommend this brand of wok.

Very good quality wok. Its cheap but very well made. Will need some effort to season it by heating and rubbing oil three to 4 times. Will last a log time if you take good care of it. Can rust so If not using store after rubbing some oil in a dry place.

Be careful, the bottom is not flat! I ignored all the reviews hoping that may be the vendor fixed this issue. However, it doesn't sit perfectly flat on the induction cooktop so I am not sure if it will heat up uniformly and quickly!

Nice rugged plain old fashioned quality wok. Not too thin, seems to be a tad heavier gauge steel than usual, and thats good. Once its all come up to temp, its pretty even heat all over, just give it a couple minutes, good results. 14 inch is a handy size too.

Amazing. Follow instructions for cleaning and sealing or they will obviously rust. Very sturdy and firm but light enough to move around as needed while cooking.

Very nice hand hammered wok. Good size with a sturdy handle no wobbling. Seasoned it per instructions and it is perfect. Don't expect it to be perfectly flat at the bottom because it is hand hammered and carbon steel can deform after heat cycles. Look for cast iron or light cast iron if you have glass top induction stoves.

Almost everything about this wok is wonderful. It's easy to season with a gas stove, even if you do not have a high powered stove. After three seasonings, I felt the wok was ready to use. I started out with deep frying food, then moved to vegetables, then noddles, then adding the sauce which did have vinegar. The seasoning wasn't stripped. I even scrambled an egg in this without any sticking. Better than the wok I had before. Do remember to clean/scrub the wok well prior to seasoning in very hot water. I used canola oil to season. The carbon steel isn't too thick nor too thin, just right.
The downside, which is truly a shame, the handle is loose, very loose. There's two small screws on the handle that are too small for a 'standard' size screwdriver, and the precision phillips head screwdriver set was too weak to turn Read More

Not a flat bottom wok (by a mile). Spent the last 3 hours oven seasoning the wok. Then "tried" to stir fried a onion with oil as the last step. if you have a glass top oven this will not heat evenly. Tried using a rubber mallet but only achieved going from convex to concave. Have never had a problem with the webstaurantstore but this is unacceptable. Also the spatula I purchased to go with this has a loose wooden handle. Very disappointed

Woks are one of the only cooking vessels that are better cheap. Carbon steel is the best material for the job, just make sure you season the wok before use.
