It has a coiled tubular heating element on the bottom of the unit and a reliable, adjustable thermostat with low, medium, and high settings up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. A 6' cord requiring a 120V electrical connection is included.

I'm using this equipment in an unconventional manner and I'm glad to say its working better than expected. I have a made to order ice cream shop and I needed a dipper well to clean utensils between orders.
