Are there any mounting requirements I need to keep in mind when installing this motion sensor dispenser?
This dispenser should be mounted so that the sensor is at least 12" above the closest surface. Mounting closer than this can interfere with the sensor and cause it to not dispense properly.
Why are the dimensions in the title different from the actual dimensions in the description and/or spec table?
The dimensions given in the title are nominal to represent an “industry standard” – a basic size that most manufacturers produce and that people in the industry use to easily identify a type of item. However, not all manufacturers produce their products the same way. For example, a title might say 12", but the item may actually be slightly larger or smaller. Why is my soap dispenser not dispensing?
Make sure the pump on your soap dispenser is fully seated in the correct position.
Product has a sleek look and is lightweight. The sensor, however, does not operate properly on any of my 6 units. It constantly blinks red and even after remounting them all, they all are either overly sensitive or do not pick up motion. The only time they are guaranteed to work are when you wipe up the soap that is dispensed. I would not recommend these units.

We recommend installing this product in such a way that the sensor is at least 15 3/4" above the nearest surface. This prevents sensor interference and ensures that it can dispense properly.
