This machine was a complete waste of money. First of all it says it produces up to 58 lbs of ice per day. It has never produced more than 20 lbs. since we bought it. We contacted Scotsman less than a month after buying the unit and their rep said our AC was not cold enough for the machine to produce enough ice. It took months but we upgraded the AC and at 67 degrees it was still producing 20 lbs per day. We called Scotsman again - according to Scotsman they sent out a service rep who was there for 45 minutes and said he tested the machine and that it was producing enough ice. Unbelievable! This is a very disappointing product from Scotsman and we do not recommend that anyone purchase it. It has never produced as much as it says it is capable of. We have only had the machine a year and a half and have already had to have it repaired twice. Luckily it was under warranty but that will soon be up and we are not looking forward to dealing with those bills afterward! The thermostat has been our main problem. it is in a terrible place and is a big design flaw. We used an old Scotsman ice maker (from the 80's) for almost 10 years before it finally gave up the Ghost and we could no longer find the parts needed to repair it. The brand new machine has been nothing but trouble, definitely not built to last.

This machine is very slow, very noisy and broke after just two years. I would not recommend buying this machine. I now have a much larger machine I lease.

The Scotsman Ice Machine is a great addition for anyone not needing a steady flow of ice cubes. We purchased it to make 4-5 drinks an hour with 2 scoops of the provided scooper and it doesn't keep up pace. Even after filling up all night and then using it a moderate amount, it runs out quickly, to the point where we have had to go out and buy bags of ice to compensate. Not good for a business. We were limited to space under our counter, but if possible, if there is any chance of requiring a decent amount of ice, I would upgrade to a larger model.

Less than 1 year, used the warranty to replace some sort of capictor/board. This machine takes too long to make ice. A little over 3 years, its started to make ice, then stop. I would have to cycle the power off and on again. The only problem is in the morning, all the ice has melted. Not worth it.

We ordered two of these machines and both of them arrived damaged. We thought the first was just cosmetic but then it didn't work, the second we didn't even try because it was so badly dented and cracked.

We just installed the machine and it doesn't produce ice. DO NOT BUT THIS MACHINE. Also I will NEVER USE WEBSTAURANT again to purchase anything. I set up an account with Webstaurant to "give them a chance". Horrible service.

This is a nice compact machine that makes perfect ice. Although, I was not impressed with tech support at Scotsman. On initial start up the machine ran all night and made no ice, called support and advised of the fault and that it seemed to be dumping a lot of water all they could do is refer me to a local service contractor. Upon further investigation on my own it was determined that the plug on the bottom of the water reservoir was missing, called support and again they referred me to a local vendor for the plug, went to a hardware store and bought a rubber plug. I initially bought a USA product for the craftsmanship, but this rubber plug set up doesn't display that, I would of thought they could have had a threaded cap, hopefully the machine lasts.

VERY Compact machine. It cannot keep up with our tiny drive thru coffee shop in the summers so we still have to buy three 20 pound bags of ice! Most winter days we are ok since people rarely order iced drinks up here in the frozen north. Unfortunately our small building can't fit a huge ice machine so we're limited. This would be nice for a place that has a small group of people using it each day but not a busy restaurant or coffee shop.

horrible ice machine. Nothing but problems Service technician doesn't want to come out. Blames everything on machine being dirty. Cleaned it 5X in the past 18 months i had it. NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. If i could turn back time and not buy one piece of equipment for my store...It would be this ice machine. Paying out of pocket to fix because the technicians are lazy (until the warranty runs out). Do not waste your money on this product. WOuld give this machine zero stars if i could.

Nice Compact Machine, perfect for my Coffee Shop, easy to install. as usual great service by webstaurant. Fist under the serving table without the legs.
