We purchased the scale to help streamline our pizza consistency and output. The scale is very sensitive. This can be a good or bad thing depending on your specific needs. The sensitivity doesn't only pertain to what is placed on the scale, but also where the scale is placed. If the surface is even slightly uneven the scale readings come out inconsistent. We would place the same item on and off of the scale, clean the scale in between, and still it would show a little different every time. It would also have a hard time taring properly. We finally found a place to put the scale where the readings came off a little bit more consistent, although not perfect by any means. If you're looking to weigh in more round-about measurements, then this scale is perfect for you. If you need a more precise scale that isn't finicky about its placement, I'd search elsewhere.
