The Edlund E-160 OP portion scale features an oversized, 11" x 7" removable stainless steel platform that is ideal for measuring subs, personal pizzas, or luncheon meats. Its durable, high-impact resistant casing stands up to the daily demands of any foodservice operation.
The Edlund E-160 OP digital portion scale is portable, too! It can be powered by either a 120V AC adapter (included) or a 9V DC battery (sold separately). When operating with a battery, the unit makes use of an automatic shut-off feature to conserve energy. A large, easy-to-read LCD readout helps reduce portioning errors that can cost you in the long run. It utilizes an automatic push button tare, as well as an ounce / gram mode selection switch.

The primary reason I chose to buy this scale was Edlund's claim to "proudly making its products in the USA". Unfortunately, the sticker says "made in China". Other than the tray being askew, it is a typical made in China product. Really disappointing.

I bought this so that I could use sheet pans on it. Unfortunately the oversized tray doesn't fit on the standard platform at all. We've even tried prying the brackets open and it still won't work. Other than that it is an okay scale. It doesn't respond right away when you push a button, so I spend extra time waiting for it to calibrate or change from grams to ounces.
