What is the best way to extend the use of this Sandstone-coated cast aluminum item?
This product is not recommended for oven, stovetop, or microwave use. Using this product in hot applications may cause staining and separation of the Sandstone coating from the cast aluminum body. Additionally, staining may occur if you use iodine-based detergents or sanitizers while cleaning.
We bought these for our salad bar on a table top buffet (not one inside a refrigerated cabinet/table) and they hold in the cold so well. Fill them up with your components, stick them in a cooler until service, and they keep the items cold for so much longer than a regular bowl or a bowl sitting in an ice bath. The shape is modern and the color is crisp. They aren't too heavy and stack on top of eachother. (They do not nest but stack). Highly recommend.
