Questions & Answers

Most induction ranges do not have specified weight or pan capacities, but make sure to check the manual. The key to ensuring your range works properly and does not get damaged by too much weight is to use a pan with a bottom diameter that does not exceed the burner's diameter. Using a larger pan or pot, such as a stock pot, will lessen the effectiveness of the range and the quality of your food. Please note a warped or uneven bottom, a very dirty pan/pot bottom, or a chipped or cracked pot/pan might cause error codes.
Does this unit stop heating when the timer is up?
No, while the unit will beep to let the user know the set time has expired, it will remain heating after the timer is up.
How and when should I prepare this unit’s cutout for installation?
Any cutout dimensions provided are intended to give an idea of the space required and may vary within normal manufacturing tolerances.
We highly recommend that you receive the unit, measure it to confirm exact dimensions needed, and then proceed with making the cutout(s).
How does ambient temperature affect this induction range?
Do not install in areas where other equipment can exhaust directly into the induction range. All models require adequate unrestricted intake and exhaust air ventilation for proper operation of the controls. The maximum intake temperature must not exceed 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43 degrees Celsius). Temperatures are measured in ambient air while all appliances in the kitchen are in operation.
How is this unit installed?
Dimensions are subject to change, verify dimensions for cutouts once units have been received. We do not recommend precutting your countertops.
My induction range blinks even when it's turned off. Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. This unit blinks to indicate a standby mode, signaling it is plugged in and ready for operation.
What clearances are needed for this induction range?
Countertop models require a minimum clearance of 3 inches (7.6 cm) at the rear and a minimum clearance under the induction range of a distance equal to the height of the feet of the Induction range. Some units draw air from below. It must not be placed on a soft surface that could restrict airflow to the bottom of the unit.
What's the best way to use my Avantco countertop / drop-in induction range?
These induction ranges are designed for display cooking and other light-duty applications. They are not intended for use with large, heavy stock pots filled with water.
Why does the manual that came with my unit differ from the manual on the webpage?
Printed manual updates are in progress. In the meantime, the manual on the webpage contains the most up-to-date information.

The unit I received SEEMS TO HAVE THE TEMP AND POWER LEVEL LED INDICATORS REVERSED based on the display selections available and the actual function of the unit. This cannot be normal? Is this a warranty claim WEBstaurantStore?
The actually heated area seems to be about 6” in diameter and therefore counting on the cookware’s thermal conductivity to even out the heat. My high quality 10 ¼ pan seem to work per the specifications.
The lower “Temps” and “PWR levels seem to be derived by cycling the induction on and off about a 7 second time interval. Here the designers are counting on the cookware’s thermal mass to even out the temperature variation.
Based on an infrared and an immersion thermometer I’d have to say temperature control is not “precise” as claimed. I’ll give it an approximate estimate of what the final temperature will be. 140 Degrees setting yields closer to 180 Degrees Read More

Just picked this up to play with and see how it works. Avantco support will not tell me what the actual coil size is in this unit which seems a bit silly. Boiled two cups of water in around 1 minute 40 at 1800 watts. As compared to 4 minutes 20 seconds on glass stove top.

I was able to build a shelf around them that allowed them to drop down and be hidden while I could use at a station and keep the food hot at a venue that could not use an open flame.

So far I am a lot more impressed with this range and cooker than I thought that I was going to be. It performs very well and it is also cheap enough to buy several of them at a time.

I love this product because it is incredibly well priced and works perfectly for cooking. It is beautiful, easy to clean and very safe since it does not heat. You may end up spending more on electric energy but it is worth.
